Hospice care refers to the basic services provided to a patient and family from the time of admission until the time of the patient's death.
In addition to basic hospice care, Hospice of Acadiana, Inc. offers a comprehensive bereavement program for family members after the death of their loved one. It also offers Improving Care, a program of education, caregiver support, and case management for patients diagnosed with a life-threatening condition but who are not eligible for hospice, and HeartPrints, a program of pediatric palliative care for children from birth to age 19 who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening condition.
