As more and more programs come onto the scene, competing for patients and name recognition, it becomes ever more imperative to point out that not all hospices are the same and to emphasize the special features that make HOA stand out from the rest. - Commitment...founded in 1983, Acadiana’s first hospice...the longest record of continuous service of any hospice organization in Louisiana.

Professionalism...9 hospice-certified RN’s, more than any other hospice in the state, and three hospice-certified physicians...6 professional social workers, 3 chaplains, and one licensed professional counselor/marriage and family therapist.

Physician involvement...a full time physician on staff and a dedicated team of over 23 volunteer hospice physicians representing 14 medical specialties who visit patients in their homes...the largest hospice medical staff in Louisiana...Physicians are available to staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Community service...the only non-profit hospice in Acadiana, Hospice of Acadiana , Inc. has never turned any eligible patient away because of inability to pay for services.
