Volunteer
Hospice of Acadiana, Inc. announces a new program called No One Dies Alone.

Hospice of Acadiana, Inc.  is pleased to announce the beginning of a new program to ensure that no patient in the nursing home or hospital setting dies alone. The program will begin covering the Lafayette area nursing homes and hospitals to ensure coverage. Round the clock, volunteers will be staying with patients while they are actively dying. More coverage is expected in the near future depending on interest in those communities.

The training for this program will be held on March 15, 2010 at Hospice of Acadiana, Inc.  All volunteers interested will have to have completed necessary background checks as well have attended Hospice of Acadiana volunteer training, bereavement training and pastoral training.

If you would like more information, please call Ann Wallace, Volunteer Placement Coordinator, 337.237.1332, ext. 3732.
